A childhood love for baking cakes is where the story of Queen of Cakes began, the passion for sugarcrafting was ignited when Nerys created her son's first birthday cake in 2010; her desire to bake a delicious and beautiful cake which was free from artificial preservatives and flavourings that you find in shop bought cakes has continued to be the Queen of Cakes ethos.
Nerys has attended masterclasses with renowned industry experts inluding A-List cake designer Peggy Porschen at her studio in Belgravia, London, Tracy James at Cotton & Crumbs, Squires Kitchen International School and Ganache Macaron in London, to hone her skills to create elegant, bespoke cakes and favours.
Queen of Cakes wedding cakes and wedding favours have been featured repeatedly in Your South Wales Wedding magazine and Tiara wedding magazine.
Nerys has also provided expert advice for brides in the Your South Wales Wedding 'SOS' feature.
We also cater for gluten-free diets with delicious cakes, which our customers have exclaimed that their guests could not tell that the cake was a gluten-free and one wedding co-ordinator at a luxury wedding venue described our gluten-free cake as "the best I've ever had! Really tasty".

Queen of Cakes is based 20 minutes outside of Cardiff, in Penallta, Caerphilly. Working from home, we provide a personal service to a high standard to ensure your wedding cake design is the cake of your dreams.
